Can you walk me through the process step-by-step?

1)
A typical project proceeds like this: The designer meets with the client(s) for 1-2 hours to discuss the clients’ wishes and dreams concerning their landscape. We talk about budget numbers so that we can incorporate the budget into the plan.

2) At an agreed upon later date, usually a few weeks later, the custom-tailored plan and menu is presented and a final concept and budget is formulated.

3) The landscape plan is now ready to be implemented. Starting time frames are discussed. Due to variables of weather, other commitments, equipment needs and materials requirements, we try to build every project as efficiently as possible. We look at the whole season and devise a working game plan.

4) Once we start a project, we do our best to continue straight through so our clients are not left with an open project. We like owners to be present and check in often so that as questions or concerns arise, we can get answers as quickly as possible. We understand that landscaping is not an exact science—it is more of an art form—a patient, evolving art.

5) Construction of walls, walks and patios is the most time-consuming aspect of landscaping. Lawns, plantings, mulching and other finish work go rather quickly and are the last created. The beginning of a project usually appears chaotic and can seem like a big mess. This is a good time to remember that it's necessary to crack a few eggs to make an omelette! Trust us! We're great with omelettes too but here we're talking about trusting that out of the chaos will come beauty, order and serenity. Our experience tells us this: the client/owner may be going through the landscape process for the first time—we have been doing this for over 25 years! Owner trust is something we value highly and look for before the whole process begins. We are entrusted to create a beautiful landscape and we respectfully, enthusiastically welcome that opportunity.
