What kind of commitment is involved in caring for my landscape after installation?
A plant growing in nature is like a wild animal and can take care of itself. When we adopt plants and bring them into a human-made setting, we need to begin taking care of them. In effect, your plantings become pets and must be treated just like living pets. We need to supply water, food and proper care. It's truly a commitment; and, in our experience the commitment is a rewarding and enjoyable one.
What about the finances?
Property owners can estimate comprehensive landscaping using the 15% of the value of the property formula. If a home is valued at $300,000, the homeowner will want to budget $45,000 for landscaping. Compare this investment to a car in the garage purchaseone appreciates and grows in enjoyment and value; the other depreciates yearly.
Simpson's fee for a complete design and menu plan is $1,000, payable upon presentation. Once menu items are determined, 10% of the project is required as a retainer. 40% is due at the start and 50% is payable upon completion of the project unless other terms are agreed upon in advance.
